What it solves

CAD Refine

Every AutoCAD plan you import into SketchUp arrives full of layers you don't need — dimensions, text, furniture, hatches. CAD Refine cleans and organizes that mess by tag (layer), getting the model ready for you to start modeling.

Complementary to Eleva: while Eleva cleans the geometry, CAD Refine works by layer.

What it does (v1.0.0)

  • Select by tag — click a line and highlight everything on that tag across the whole model, even inside nested blocks.
  • Multi-select — Shift+click adds more tags to the selection.
  • Delete — remove everything on one or several tags in a single operation (clean Ctrl+Z), dropping empty tags.
  • Isolate — hide the other tags to clean by hand, with a Cancel button that undoes everything if you slip.
  • Separate into group — archive structure or columns in a separate group before cleaning.

How to install

  1. Download the .rbz file.
  2. In SketchUp: Extensions → Extension Manager → Install Extension.
  3. Select the file — CAD Refine shows up in the Extensions menu and the toolbar.

What it doesn't do yet

  • It doesn't run alone. Without Hub for SketchUp installed, it won't open.
  • It needs an internet connection. The licence is validated online.
  • One licence, one computer at a time. From the machine itself you unlink instantly. Remotely, it's a request with e-mail confirmation — it takes effect the moment you confirm, and the next remote swap only after 15 days.
